Care provided in a person's own home by paid care workers to help them with their daily life. It is also known as domiciliary care. Home care workers are usually employed by an independent agency, and the service may be arranged by the local council or by the person that needs care (or someone acting on their behalf). (Combination of definitions in NG86 and NG74)
