In August 2020, the Faculty of Clinical Informatics published the Core Competency Framework (CCF) which describes the knowledge and skills-based competencies for all Clinical Informaticians across health and social care. Clinical Informatics is defined as the application of data and information technology to improve patient and population health, care and wellbeing outcomes and to advance treatment and the delivery of personalised, coordinated support from health and social care.
