The entire group of people employed for the purposes of carrying on a regulated activity.

Anyone paid to work in a care home and involved either directly or indirectly in the care and support of residents. This includes care workers, nurses, managers, administrative staff, cleaners, caterers, gardeners or anyone else who the care home employs directly or via agencies or contractors, on a casual, part-time, full-time, temporary or permanent basis.

Healthcare professionals and social care practitioners, including those working in community teams for adults or children (such as psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, speech and language therapists, nurses, behavioural analysts, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and pharmacists), paid carers (care workers) in a variety of settings (including residential homes, supported living settings and day services), and educational staff.

Healthcare professionals and social care practitioners, including those working in community teams for adults, children or young people (such as psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, speech and language therapists, nurses, behavioural analysts, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and pharmacists); and education staff.
